Pilgrims to the MangerWednesday 17 November 2010, 9:45am-4pm at Bishop Woodford House, Ely, CambridgeshireSpeaker/leader: Naomi StarkeyThis is an invitation to spend time reflecting on the events of the Christmas story, events which we know should fill us with joy, but which may feel so familiar that all the wonder has worn away. As we make our own pilgrimage to the manger, we can not only seek to learn more of God, but also allow ourselves to be challenged afresh by the perspectives of his Kingdom. Above all, we can discover the truth of Emmanuel: God is here, everywhere, present with us, if only we will look up and notice him walking alongside us. Naomi Starkey is a commissioning editor at BRF and also editor of New Daylight. She is married to Mike, a vicar, and they have three children, who are aged between 8 and 21! She has written Good Enough Mother and Pilgrims to the Manger for BRF. Price: £25
